Natalie, excellent work addressing issues of social commentary and societal pressure on women. There is so much to explore and critique with this subject. Check out the work of Barbara Kruger, she is one of my favorite Feminist artists. She appropriates the language of advertising to critique and comment on messaging and meaning in visual culture. The incorporation fo charged text can be a highly effective way to engage the viewer in reflective looking.
